Materials
Ethically sourced and recycled metals, materials, gemstones and packaging are used in all my work
I use silver, gold, copper, brass, steel, wood, glass and gemstones to create my jewellery
For my sand castings, I use sand from the banks of The Mighty River Trent in Derbyshire mixed with natural oils and clay. This sand originated in the Triassic period as the river wore down the bedrock of fluvioglacial, periglacial and alluvium deposits in the river bed. We may not have beach sand in Derbyshire, but our Trent sand is just as interesting, and great for casting
My workshop is small and self-contained and my working methods have as low an environmental impact as possible
